What a Great day, It started with a hair and makeup gig for a fantastic high flying corporate, she was gorgeous, the kinda girl who plays hardball with the boys and was a bit freaked out by the prospect of a face-full of warpaint, you should have seen her face when i pulled out the airbrush, but i won her over with a bit of charm and a my patented a little goes a long way makeup style, she was so wrapped with the experience she even brought me a coffee.
After that i popped up to weltec to talk to the makeup students about working in the industry, they were so eager and keen to soak up any information i could pass on, i did a impromptu
demo on Hayley the tutor, the kids were so cute, i felt like a grand dame passing on my secrets. I also checked some great Hair and Makeup shots from the MAC gala dinner at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week posted on the amazing Richard Kavanagh's Blog i think Richard is responsible for the fantastic Do's, check out his blog for more yummy pics, I love the eye makeup on the model with the intense eyebrows, might have to give that one a whirl on the next fashion jobby.

Before and After, I think I'm over my Horror couture stage, but don't quote me on that.

This is from a shoot i did with Derek Elvy from Buoy Hairdressers in Wellington, Derek really is the master of Avant garde Hair, Check out that crazy melted hair peice like a futuristic zombie babe, it kind of reminds me of a J G Ballard character, this shoot was two years ago, it seems i went thru a bit of a stage of airbrushing everyone white and making them look @#$*ed up horror couture styles, i think i'm over that for now but might revisit that genre again in the future ......Check out more of Mr Elvy's work at www.buoy.co.nz
