A New Post .......Wahoo and the first one on my Mac, i've had it three months and still haven't got around to posting.........what a slackO, As this blog is dedicated to my working life as a freelance makeup artist i better fill my readers ( Tor and Mum) in on my exciting worklife...........In 2009 i have moved into a new area of business Weddings!! ....crazy i know, I have done quite a few this year and really enjoyed them and had amazing feedback...Word off mouth bookings have been my on fire, so i have decided to promote myself stronger in this area , I've even made a little website dedicated to my wedding bussiness.

I also have found a lovely assistant called Nisha......so weddings seem to be a go go, Princess days as i call them, the one day  the every woman gets to be pampered like a princess ( and look like one ), coming from a strong photographic and fashion makeup background seems to be a bonus so i'm going to post my link for my wedding website please check it out.

bodypainting character

A few images of my body painting creatures both of them are modeled by the amazing dancer Jana Castillo. The first one is a crazy rabbit woman that came 2nd in the Weta workshop fantasy creature makeup section in Wellington, the other one is Kali the Hindu goddess of destruction she also came second in the Auckland section for fantasy and creature special effects.....judged by the weta folks again....i had to make those bloody second pair of arms, what a mission...phew...all the prosthetics and extras were hand made by me on both creatures its alot of fun but extremely time consuming and messy, ps the lunatic in the halo is moi

King Kong - VW Touareg

A couple of screen shots from the King Kong Volkswagen Touareg i worked on (thanks to Duncans). This was way back in 2005, and went on to become a special feature on the dvd.

from 2006, this was filmed in Wanaka, i did makeup not only on people, but also on mammoths and sabre-tooth tigers.
